Globe DUO USA is a service that provides a much affordable call rate compared to the standard IDD call rates to the Philippines. Once subscribed to DUO, DUO assigns a virtual US landline number to a registered Globe Prepaid, Postpaid and TM number in the Philippines. The Globe or TM registered number maintains their local Philippine number as well, essentially being assigned two numbers to 1 SIM.
Non-U.S.-based numbers who call the Globe DUO USA number will be charged their respective standard IDD rates to the corresponding country.
*A subscriber is defined as the person who is assigned a DUO USA number.
Globe DUO USA is open to Globe Prepaid, Postpaid and TM registered numbers only.
Globe or TM numbers start with the following prefixes: 0905, 0906, 0915, 0916, 0917, 0925, 0926, 0927, 0935, 0936, 0996, 0997.
Once a subscriber* registers to the service, they will be assigned a US landline number within 24 hours, valid for 30 days depending on the package subscribed.
The subscriber will then be able to receive* calls on their Globe US number. Think of it as a direct hotline number to the Philippines, at the DUO USA country’s domestic rates.
*A subscriber is defined as the person who is assigned a DUO USA number.
*The subscriber may not use his Globe DUO USA number to make outgoing calls or texts. This is designed to receive incoming calls only.
